Holiday up North!!

Packing my bag during the day getting ready to go far up North, I was jumping with excitement ready to see my family.

As we got there I raced out of the car running towards the house seeing everybody inside.
"Why is it so quite in here"

"Because its hot"

"Oh"

Seeing my little cousin all grown up was surprising for me. The last time I saw him was when he was about 1he is around 3 years old now i think.

We took the little kids to the warehouse to find a toy to take to the beach. As we left to go to the beach I found a rubber ducky for my little cousin an my mum gt it for him, we left as we were there my brother an dad went to try find some kina's but it was to far so they turned around and came back.


That's how my holiay up North was amazing.

My Net-book Reflection!!!

This is my reflection about my Net-book. I am doing this based on why I like working on my Net-book and why I don't like working on my Net-book

The things I liked about having my Net-bookThe things I did not like about having my Net-book or the problems I had during the year.eg. it’s made it much easier to …learn on the net-books because instead of getting up to use the dictionary I could just make a new tab and look the word up. It is easier to work on it because I can post to my blog faster than waiting for the multimedia stationMy dislike about having Net-book is that some times the Internet works slow, and another thing about having our Net-books is that we don’t always get to play game but I rather learn than play.

The thing that I like about having my Net-book is that we get to take it home and that when we go home most of us can get the Internet from home.

This year I have really enjoyed having my Net-book because I like to look up word and keep them in my head and I like to look up the word because I could try memorise the definition.
Having a Net-book is really really fun because I can play games at home and I can get the Internet at home which is even better but having the opportunity to have a Net-book to work on is amazing and I never thought that all the time I wouldn't get A laptop till I was about 18 year old but then again here I am now working on a Net-book.

The thing I haven’t liked about having a Net-book is that I hate it when the Internet gets to slow then I have to wait for about a minute just to get back on the Internet.5
Net-book writing is much easier than writing with pencil and paper because I would clearly like to work on a Net-book because I like to play typing games as well.



As much as I have loved having a Net-book there are some things that I haven’t liked.....
I haven’t liked some things about it because I when I go on stuff like google docs it sometimes says google docs error please refresh your page and as I refresh it, it take about a minute for it to load again.


What are some of the biggest differences in your learning using a Net-book the advantages for your learning (you may have covered some of these already in your likes).
The biggest difference I think about having a Net-book is easier to have a learning mind set to what you need to do even though I wonder out of my work I do eventually get back to it.



What has been the biggest challenge to you in terms of managing yourself and your learning using a Netbook? Have you been in the ‘right place and space’ ? Have you been Cyber Smart?
I have no idea if I have been in the right place and space at the right time? I am not sure that I have been Cyber smart either.

The hardest thing …The greatest challenge for me …
From time to time ... I do get to learn but then I wonder away from my work and I get distracted by other people.

What if it was decided that the Netbook Pilot Scheme was a failure and you had to go back to pen and paper?

6 Hour Drive!!!

A short while ago, me and my family went for a 6 hour drive to Taranaki (this is my home town) for my aunties funereal. She was buried in a coffin made of flax as surprising as it sounds, she weaved it.
It was my first time coming into Taranaki to meet the rest of my family, I meet my uncle Ropata (he’s a true Maori) I meet most of my cousins and my Nana's and gran-pa's and every body else.
I knew that I would be shocked when I saw my aunties body and I was but not as much.
I really want to go back for Christmas holidays to see my cousins, my uncles and aunties.
Everyone was crying after the funeral and I never wanted to leave my auntie but I had too.
When we left to go home the next day, I really really wanted to cry cause it had been to long for me stay and not want to go home.
I said “I will miss you guys”
My uncle said “We will miss all of you too”
“BYE” said my mum
“BYE” they all said
“I hope we get to go there again”
“Me too, did you have fun with the girls”
“Yes”
“Then we might as well go in the Christmas holidays”
“YEEP” i screamed

Outta this world!!!

This picture is my very own Outta This World piece of art. It is very hard to draw these things with out a mouse only a touch mouse like you have on a laptop. Matakana Fair

Going up North was a long trip, It was so long I fell asleep half way there.

As I woke up 2 hours later, I was ready to eat. I yawned loud giving my mum a huge fright “WOW” she said “don’t scare me again I might crash,”
“ok” I replied in a sigh I said hungrily.
“Wait“ she said and we pulled up into the McDonald's drive thru
“ may i please take your order” I heard “ yes” replied my mum .
“What do you want,” inquired mum
“ a double cheese burger combo please”,
“with what drink?” she said
i replied with a answer saying “coke please”
‘’ok Coke coming right up”
We drove to the window, my order came through
“thank-you “said my mum.
We drove the rest of the way to my aunties house, it was about half and hour away. We got there finally i went to the back for some fresh air and there she was, she whispered in my ear “guess what”
“what” i said.
She knew I loved going to the Matakana and she said “It’s tomorrow “
“ what’s tomorrow?”
“you know the fair”
“Yay” i screamed louder and louder (with excitement) “Woohhoo”


As The day came I woke up early waiting for every one else to wake up . Every one was getting ready but me, my auntie says to me “watta eager beaver”
“hahahahahahaha” I laughed.
“I want this and I want that,” I said to my mum and my mum said “ OH TYLA YOU JUST WANT EVERY THING DON’T YOU” and I said “pretty much” (my mum laughed and so did I.)

On the way home from the Matakana Fair with the back of the car fulled with stuff we got from the fair my mum said “WOW it looks like we spent a lot of money” and i said
“but we didn't” my dad laughed and said” we only spent $50 dollars”
“that’s still quite alot” said my mum
“not really”
“true”
Not wanting to go home, I sat watching out the window as my auntie and her family slowly disappeared.
Screaming out loud i heard “BYE"
