Well I have just finished my one and only MTV movie.Staring Me, Selina L and Aneisha.

Cool Kiwis

Would you call a Kiwi beautiful? I know I wouldn’t. Its plumage is dark and dull and stiff like dog hair. The Kiwi feathers is not like other birds. The most ridiculous thing about it is it’s bill, it can grow up to 20cm long.

Did you know Kiwi’s are fast? They have really strong, powerful leg, that can out run a human. They use their legs to fight other predators like weasels, stoats, cats, rats, ferrets and also dogs.

Kiwis use their strong leg to dig up a burrow, which is used to lay their eggs in. Some times they build it in a log or under the roots of a big tree. Each of the burrows are about three metres long.

And there you have it how can you possibly resit a flightless,

ridiculous, wrinkled winged, chicken sized, burrow building species.

Cross Country Race

Oh my gosh I cant believe it, Cross Country is on today. I have been hoping this day wouldn't come but here it is, I keep saying to myself why, why does it have to be today.

Oh no, standing there while biting my nails I stepped up to the start line. I hate to say it but I feel like screaming and spewing all at the same time. "BANG" everyone ran, this is my worst nightmare ever because I'm to afraid I will come last.

Oh no, this isn't good I think I'm going to be sick and to make it worse there's a big muddy patch ahead. As I make my way past Ms Glaze trying to take a breath, I suddenly felt gooey mud between my toes. I didn't care I just kept running.

I finally make my way to the finish line, WOW! I can't believe it,I did it, I actually ran that big long race with no stich at all, I am so proud of myself.

Even though I have a aching back, sore legs, and a felling of a broken ankle I feel like I came first.

Maratime Museum

On Thursday the 29th of July, room's 17 and 16 went on a trip to the Maritime Museum.

When we got there, the educator told us a couple of rules before we went inside. One of the groups went on the boat first, which was called the Ted Ashby, while the others went to see a movie about how the first Polynesians came to New Zealand.

Not long after that we went with a lady who told us how to tie two pieces of sticks together with a piece of string, it was in a shape of a square.

The last activity we went to was Salty Sam he took us on a tour around the museum we even got to take a picture in the boat that we saw.On the Ted Ashby we travelled under the harbour bridge we saw some people doind their work on the top.

Kapa Haka at the Auckland Museum

Have you ever done a performance in front of a audience?

Well performing in front of a audience is scary at first, I know I get scared of performing in front of people. The reason the Pt England kapahaka group performed is so they could start the opening of the Auckland Museum movie competition, it was Ms King's class that entered the movie competition with a great movie about changing through out the years and that people are still important to you.

Calling up the finalist was a young lady called Kiesha Castle-Hughes who was once a little girl on Whale Rider. She called up heaps of schools but she didn't call Pt England's catagory. Pt England did come first in one section, winning a camera followed by heaps of other tech stuff.

I've never felt so amazed after watching the performance.
